Abbey Brass

Composer in Residence
Abbey Brass has appointed Cardiff University student, and former Ryde School pupil, Mary Lillington as its first composer in residence. The two-year post offers Mary the opportunity to develop her artistic skills.
Abbey springs into action!
Abbey Brass will kick off their 2024 concert schedule this Spring with performances in Bembridge, on the 20th April. and in Ryde on the 11th May. Both concerts are FREE ENTRY, click on the link below for more info....
Abbey pulls a double
Abbey Brass ended November with a double header.... a concert at Newport Methodist Church on Saturday 25th November was hotly followed by an appearance at the Medina Tattoo the next day, when we opened the event..

Meet The Band
Abbey Brass players travel across the island to rehearse at the band's base in Binstead, Ryde on Wednesday evenings.
The band is made up of people from all walks of life including those in the medical profession, care workers, teachers, administrators, structural engineers, transport operatives and one or two retirees.
